How Easy Apply automation works
Easy Apply is LinkedIn's short application: a few screens with your contact details, your resume and the employer's screening questions (years with a tool, notice period, expected salary). Automation tools take over some or all of these steps:

What LinkedIn's rules say
From LinkedIn's User Agreement
- Members agree not to "use bots or other unauthorized automated methods to access the Services".
- Nor to use "software, devices, scripts, robots or any other means or processes (such as crawlers, browser plugins and add-ons or any other technology) to scrape or copy the Services".
- And LinkedIn "reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate your account" for breaches.
For most people their LinkedIn profile is years of connections and recommendations, which is a lot to risk for saved clicks. The more a tool does inside LinkedIn on its own, the closer it is to what those clauses describe.

Jobs that leave LinkedIn

- Ask for a referral from someone at the company. It usually gets a person to open your application.
